I've been checking around too so I'll be ready when mine decides to give up the ghost. All I've heard about Petris Opti's is they're great. Not one bad thing I've heard about them yet.

what year vette? also consider replacing the water pump at the same time. FWIW I like the electric pump. It eliminates the weep hole on the waterpump.

If your vette is a 94 or before you won't be disappointed at all with Petris. I took the advice given here and am very pleased that I did. The AC Delco was price at $349 and Petris was $399. The Petris unit came with everything I needed for a very easy install. While I had it apart I changed plug wires, ignition coil, went with a brand new water pump, and naturally degreased while in there. Job in all reality will only take a day to do.
