I have a 95 Corvette that turns off. It does this when driving on the freeway or exiting the freeway, and after reving the engine to about 3000 in neutral. I thought it might need a new fuel pump. Someone told me it might be the catalytic converter not letting the engine breath enough. Could some one please help?

Hi Chris I'm Pete and I have an 95 as well. I had a problem with mine a bit back. Mine was the temp. Sensor on the front of the water pump, my. Digital dash went from reading engine temp. To reading low when I had the problem it was flooding the engine with gas. The sensor was lose. And was giving the problem . Is your dash giving you the engine temp. Or does it say low. If it says low it's that same sensor.

Chris, I also had the same situation that Pete was stating above. While driving my 95 It would just stop running, it didn't matter if I was idling or driving. after I replaced the temp sensor problem gone. I hope your issue is as simple as ours. Good luck!
Start with the basics. Put a fuel injection pressure tester on the fuel rail. Turn the key to on. Tell me how many lbs of fuel presure you have. We'll go from there.
