I too sold a nice 2004 Mustang and with the proceeds bought my wife a nice new wedding ring set for our 20th anniversary and my 89 Corvette.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss that car from time to time.
I always wanted a Corvette but for the most part I'm just a car guy. I'd love to own a Mustang Cobra, those are neat cars and I suspect that even a 97 would have enough beans to handle most C4's, at least in a straight line - where Mustangs tend to thrive. A friend of mine had a 97 Cobra with a supercharger (procharger) and it was a monster. Ironically, he sold it to buy a C3 which he restored and built a monster 383 SBC for.
Point is for most of us these things are toys purchased to provide a bit of fun in between the mass of responsibility that most of us have. Motorcycles are the same thing.
Can you post up a pic of the Mustang or is that for off topic only?
Do you want do adopt a nephew? I think its time you moved up to a C6.
The C6's are really nice, but I've always been a fan of the C4's.
I think you will enjoy the Cobra. You'll find that it needs a set of gears to really wake it up. 3.27 are stock; 4.10's are recommended & trust me they won't be too steep.

I meant to say buy from a caring owner with repair records, otherwise you are unsure what will be needed. I will still be trolling here on occasion, but don't miss it yet....it is still early though.
Rustang (no that is not a typo they do rust )
Well we tend to have regrets for the loss of special cars, and yes that loss just doesn't fade with time
I bet in the future it may be a few years but you may well end up owning another vette Hey kids do grow up quick so you won't need a four seater for long
No way! ha ha... I own a mustang also, but I just couldn't bring myself to join a forum. Some of those guys never drove anything else and think the blue oval is the be-all end-all of automotive engineering.
