Bleeding Master Cylinder Question
My question is, after I have all the fittings and the tubes in place in order to bleed it, when I pour the brake fluid into the resovoir it leaks out of the other side.
Am I suppose to plug that opening? Or does this mean that my Master Cylinder is bad?
I apologize if this may seem like a dumb question. This is the first time I'm bleed a master cylinder and although I've read so many threads I still don't understand what I'm doing wrong?
If the master cylinder is bad, what do you guys recommend I buy as a replacement? I know these are almost impossible to find new and I've heard plenty of bad reviews on the Cardone Reman products. Would a Napa or Autozone Reman be any better?
It's leaking out of this outlet on the reservoir as you can see in this picture. Am I suppose to plug this when bench bleeding the master cylinder? If not, I suppose the master cylinder is bad since it's not suppose to be leaking from anywhere?

BTW, my C4 is a 93. I will look into finding a new one if it is indeed bad. So far I've only found a few new aftermarket ones for sale.
Fenco from Autozone for $250
Centric from Rockauto for $180
Wagner from Roackauto for $230
Raybestos from Rockauto for $203
All opinions are welcome and appreciated.
