Anyone in the northern states have to store their corvette outside for the winter? Anyone just drive it all year round? I do not have a garage and I am trying to figure out if it is worse for me to let it sit idle for ~5 months or just drive the car through the winter avoiding snowy days and any time the road is wet from rain or snow melt (to avoid getting salt in the undercarriage) The car is by no means a show car, but the undercarriage is pretty clean and I would like to keep it that way. I can drive my truck all winter, but my 93 vette gets about 50% better gas mileage.
What do people suggest for storage? Is using stabil for the gas, jacking getting the tires off the ground and a good cover enough? Any other considerations? Any recommendations on a good cover?
Anyone have experience with just driving it all winter?
Kind of a newb question, but I have never really had a car that I had to worry about this before. Thanks
drive it on the nicer days and forget about all that snake oil. all a cover in the weather is going to do is do paint damage. the best would be to get a car port
I'm also from Nh and I store my c4 at NH public storage in Franklin. It's heated indoor storage and they take real good care of the cars. i think it was $65 last year. Store my c4 and my wifes slk230.
