Default heater control does not increase

the heater control will not adjust temperature when the warm button is pushed. Could a wire be off behind the dash?

I'm taking a guess and saying your heater core might be clogged up. Get the engine up to temperature and feel both heater hoses. They should be about equally hot, and as hot as the other radiator hoses.

If the heater hoses are not hot, that’s your problem. Then take the hoses off and flush the core (gently). Also good idea to flush the rest of the system and change the coolant.

It sounds like you've got burned resistors in the HVAC programmer (above the gas pedal). They apply power to the heater blend door motor and it doesn't work if the resistors are burned. See here:

He was wrong about the value of the resistors. They are 140 ohms.
