Ok my old battery had a bad cell in it...that was a simple fix..just replace it. Ok I get a new battery which is fine..but after a few days of not starting up...Its DEAD..but easy to jump off. I had a mechanic check my alternator..check for a draw..nothing found...got back in it Dead!..But I noticed a fant clicking sound under the dash right bottom..any suggestions?..
You might have a drain on the battery when all is off. Should draw no more than 50 ma and normally about less than 35 ma. There is a lot of stuff of the right side of the dash where you hear the sound (lots of relays and cruise module). I assume you have the sound when the key is in the off position.
The most logical thing to do is to measure the current from the battery with all off and see what it is by inserting an ammeter is series with a battery cable. But if that is too much for you, then make sure all lights are off in car, under hood etc. if you here the clicking, start pulling fuses (by passenger door) and see if it stops. If that works for you, then you know what circuit or area to work in.
