Just a guess.......headers...add about 15, mini ram add another 5-10. You need a cam to light all this up.

Running a MR on the 89 and am very pleased. The MR flows much better than the stock TPI and allows more revs. IDK on a stock motor what it would do our car has a few extra CI's.

I picked up .3 in the 1/4 over what it did with an Edelbrock base and AS&M runners. It has other mods too.

I've seen as much as 50hp reported with the superram. Mini pops a few ponies more.

My guess is 55 even with a stock cam. Partly will depend on shift points.

dont know how much power you will make all things being relative but I can tell from experience......I ran 3-4 mph faster in the 1/4 with the exact same mods from going Edelbrock base/runners to the TPIS mini.......I think I went from 107/108 mph to 111/112.....that being said I would guess roughly 30 to 40 rwhp improvement from the Edelbrock to the mini.......to be honest I am not sure if the Edelbrock intake was much of a performance enhancer over the stock intake to answer your question........not sure though

Where is the question about swapping from TPIS long tubes to TPIS mini?

I took it to mean a conversion from stock to a mini. Going from stock exhaust to long tubes ALONE should get most of what the lower estimates are predicting.

The MR is an intake set up the TPIS long tubes are exhaust. Two completely different things. If I am reading your post correctly. Also the LT's would go great with the MR.

I can see how you'd take it that way. I was referring to the TWO posters quoting gains after converting from large-tube base and runners to a mini.....something I was referring to as "long tubes". I should have said long/large runners. Or, just been more specific.

I'm assuming the OP wants an estimate to convert from STOCK to: a mini with LT headers. And, the later would involve a complete redo of the exhaust....possibly a full cat delete?

Lots of variables there.

Switching from an afermarket tuned port to a mini can still give the guy a point of reference.
