When you use the air pump delete kit do you plug some of the hoses on the right side? does anyone have a picture. We found the 2 plugs to wrap up and tuck away. Just some hoses look like they go under the car. My car is a 90 L98 no cats, straight pipes all the way back.
What about the check valves, Do they stay on or come off?

Reason: another question
Do you mean the black pipe-style bracket that goes from the rear of the alternator to one of the exhaust manifold bolts? It stays on as it needs to support the large OEM lower aluminum bracket.
The kit that i bought is from corvette mods from the forum. it looks like the bracket isn't lining up just right. i am trying to follow the directions that came with it.
i feel like a dummy, dont laugh at me, the army says i cant hear and they pay me for it. maybe they should do something about my eyesight too cause i didnt see the extra hole on the bracket for the alternator. now it is all mocked up now we are aligning the pulleys using a straight edge and i found at ace some heavy rubber table leg caps that fit perfect for the vacuums and it looks nice. give me another hour or so and we should test fire it. it is a good thing my son is here doing the work cause i gotta take a nap.

Do you mean where the check valves on the exhaust manifolds were screwed in? Those small tubes are open to the exhaust flow and will see a couple hundred degrees at least.
There is also a tube that leads down to the main cat from the . That entire tube can be removed but the 90 degree tube coming out of the cat has to be plugged or pinched close. IF you leave the tube in place, it still could get hot after a lengthy drive and a rubber cap on that pipe could melt.
You can cut them and pinch them closed, but that pretty much keeps you from re-installing the AIR system if it should be needed. If the car is sold to somebody that lives in a state that requires emissions testing, it will mean replacing the manifolds.

I hope I'm not hijacking the thread but do you know of any other year stock manifolds without air injection that fit and hook up to the stock downpipe without mods?

Its easy enough to cut the small tubes from each port close to the manifold and tap it out for 8mm or 5/16th bolt to screw in Did mine a couple of years ago without too much trouble. You can see a couple of the bolt heads here in this pic.
I guess you leave the unsightly lines in the manifold?
Years ago I cut the lines about 1/4" above the manifold and screwed sheet metal screws into the lines. They were above the manifold so didn't affect exhaust flow.
