The source vacuum (in the front) comes from the rear of the plenum on the passenger side.
The "straight through" part goes into the cabin and operates the HVAC system doors.
The "right angle" part goes to the cruise control servo and the vacuum reservoir.
Great just what I wanted to hear, who ever hooked the vacuum lines up was dumber than me,they have the source going to the fuel pressure valve,I guess that is what it is called,it sits right between the fuel rails and one of the lines on the two nipples on the plenium got to go to the fuel pressure valve, tell me which one they both come from the front of the engine. Thanks a million,I think this will solve all my problems.
There are two vacuum connections on the rear of the plenum on the passenger side. The two vacuum "circuits" are:
The rear one goes to the vacuum check valve, then to the HVAC system and cruise control.
The front one goes to the A.I.R. valves on the front of the engine and also to the fuel pressure regulator. The vacuum "harness" for this is still available as GM part number 14082463.

Put on a new three way valve and and everything that works off it is working,theA.I.R. valves you lost me on them,is that the valves on the compressor and there is no smog pump I put a elinimator on real clean lookin.
Jim
Yes, they are the ones on the compressor. You can loose them too.
I don't miss any of that crap hanging on the front of motor, so much cleaner looking without.

Thanks 86 you guys have helped me so much could not have done it with out you guys.I looked at the smog eliminator kits for sale on the internet and decided to make my own ended up makin three, sure cleaned up the front end.The vacuum line from the compressor go to the second nipple on the plenum [right].

Thanks Jim
Yes, it shares a line with the fuel regulator. I cut my factory tubing and used the existing rubber fittings, to make a new single line from plenum to regulator.
Hi 86
Did you cut the lines for looks or performance?
Jim
The line is a "Y", that feeds regulator and A.I.R. valves. You can plug the line that feed valves, or make a single line that feeds regulator.
I chose the later, as I like a simple clean looking motor, when it comes to wires, hoses and tubing. The less of all 3, the better.
