Well, my Vette will be in storage at least another couple months, but when it comes out it will be time for new tires. Hopefully, my tax return will go along way to paying for the new rubber.
I'd like to hear what kind of tires you have on your car and what kind of driving you mostly do...and most importantly...are you satisfied. Trying to get some ideas on my options! Thanks.
I love the nitto 555. They are a great all around tire tire. I do alot of mtn driving, and they stick pretty well and don't get greasy when they get hot , like other cheaper tires.

I don't see on Nitto's website that they make that in my size. I have 255/40-17 in front and 295/35-18 in back.
Just took the original Goodyears off my '90 and replaced them with Conti's Z rated summer tires. What a difference! quiet, smooth and excellent corning. Most of my driving is on back roads in southern Jersey during the summer months.

Here's an interesting tidbit. I had about 500 miles and 6 months on them when I accidently drove over a belgium block lieing in the middle of a curve and couldn't react in time. This hunk of stone is about 5" square and 10" long. It felt like I drove over a curb at 40 MPH. Checking the tires I found a golf ball size bubble in the side wall. Conti advised that the tires had a one year road hazard warranty and replaced it for nothing...not even mounting and balancing. Most tires don't offer this unless you pay extra ($15-20 per tire). Thanks Conti.
I agree with the Continental ExtremeContact DW. They are great in the dry and awesome in the wet! Also, like mickey5 pointed out, they have a great road hazard program that comes with the tire. I use the DW's on my Camaro, and the DWS on my wifes Grand Am.
How are the DWS ones? Being in MN, I never drive in the snow but in Spring and Fall it gets cold and summer only tires don't grip very good. But I don't want something that's slick in hot weather either. Are the DWS a good compromise?
