89 Vert Resto/Build thread
A4's went less smoothly, the brackets as received seem to make installing the inboard forward seat nut extremely difficult or almost impossible. I'm not sure how to tackle this just yet, but they're absolutely 1000% more supportive than the stock seats. Too supportive infact. They're way too small for someone of my size. Which means incentive to either loose weight, or get some different seats. Which is somewhat disappointing since I had sat in a pair locally and they seemed fine. I suspect now that I had tried the wide versions (even though I was told they were the normal ones)
Going to see if I can pad the pain points with the upholstery shop, otherwise something's going to have to change. To my surprise, the additional of the A4's bumps me into the STC class, but I'm okay with that.. it also opens up lots of possibilities for suspension.

decided to paint the carriers, going for the C5/C6 look. Besides, didn't want to look at flash-rusted brand new brakes.

new stuffs

I highly reccomend Centric premium rotors, (in my best borat voice) they're verrrry NICE!

Heard good things about these, so I jumped for them

All done!

The usual 25years of accumulation of junk down the seat , eye also spy the source of the hideous vanilla smell the car has. +

no chrome wheels were harmed during the photographing of this image.

The torture seats! I mean, the A4's!

They're a bit faded, but thats why they were $200.

then I took the corbeau's back out and replace the stock seats... reversed the cushions so the torn/worn side was on the passenger instead of the driver.
thinking the corbeaus will get a spot in the 63 vert on the side of the house.. we need some seats if we're going to drive both cars to carlisle(it's only temporary!) , and I'm thinking about OE sports for the C4.
