Is this red wire the "Power Antenna" wire? C4 stereo installation
My 86 coupe had a Bose am/fm/casette player in it and I decided to upgrade. I bought a Sony unit from Walmart, a Scosche Speaker Level Converter, wiring harness and dash mounting kit. I have all the wires from the Sony connected to the converter and harness but one dark blue wire that the instructions say is for the "Power Antenna". I have two possible wires left in the hole in the dash that could be for the antenna. Both of them have connectors on them; one red, one grey with a white stripe.
Here's the red one as it came off the Bose factory am/fm/casette unit:
Here's the red wire's connector before I disconnected it:
Here's the red wire and it's plug after removing the old Bose:
What's this red wire for?
Thanks!
Derek

Correct. That wire is for the Bose amp. The antenna wire is in the bottom most of the three connectors that plug into the back. I used it to jumper in my iPod modulator.

Ok guys I do appreciate the help on this. Here's my last unidentified wire. It's got a black sheath as it comes out of the Bose radio and then plugs into a Grey wire with a white stripe.

The color does not show up well here but it turns into this Grey with white stripe wire:
