horn issue
my horn button on my 84 broke off sometime in 05/06 and it was never put back on because the car was never used until my uncle gave it to me last year. well i moved to AZ and for inspections i need the horn working and i cant seem to get the horn button to work. i know the horns work because the alarm went off a few weeks ago. anyone have any solutions i should try.

Did you check the fuse for the horn? I think it is seperate from the alarm right?
Is that strip of metal on the middle where it contacts? It looks rusty! Try cleaning the rust off it and where it contacts and I'll bet it works!

Was the horn contact installed? You seem to have the right pieces. If yes then when you push the installed horn contact you will hear the relay "click" behind the middle dash area. Is the fuse good? If you hear this click, the horn contact and relay works. You will then concentrate on the wiring from the relay to the actual horns.
If no "click" you may have to clean the contacts as suggested.
