Very nice, I personally would have used the chrome side exhaust things like they used on the mid-years, but it still looks good. Just watch the backs of your legs, 'cause you know they're gonna get burned eventually. Also, make sure the body doesn't get warped from the heat of the exhaust pipes. It is only fiberglass, ya know.
I guess ya missed the details in the other thread...but heat transfer isn't really a problem at all. True...it's fiberglass on top...but beneth that is about 2" of insulation...a heat shield...another heat shield...THEN the exhaust. Took it on a pretty hard extended run this afternoon and the fiberglass exhaust covers were barely warm. Warping the glass is now on the bottom of my concern list for these!

So far as the tips...it was a no brainer for me.....BLACK!!!. Anything else would have been WAAAAAAY out of character for both me and the car. ;)

Looks good  . I'd probably fill in the cutouts in the rear to "smooth" out the look. Rosie might get jealous if she sees her glass going somewhere else though. :D

 You're right Joe!! That just MIGHT be a problem iffun i start glassin on any other car besides her before she's finished!

I'll probably wind up glassing them smooth...but not before i get Rosie done. :D

I love 'em! I've wanted a set of those for quite some time now. I'm not really a sidepipe person but they have such a clean look to them. They definitely compliment the look of the C4. :yesnod:

Hey man...your car now looks just like mine!! I love my side pipes, the only drawback being clearance loss. I used the exhaust cutout filler sold by Side Effects to fill those spots, they look great. Drop me an IM if you have any questions.

Looks sweet! Though why you couldn't give me a call to come down & give you a hand is beyond me
Martha had a couple of ideas for the rear. Some nice gold plated letters would like great, or... you could always put a C5
rear end on him. :D

Thanks for all the comments folks. Let's see how many questions i can answer.

BLUEWASP
Do you have any pics of the underside?? I would like to see how the pipes connect...
Not right now...but i'll snap a few this weekend if you'd like. It's actually a pretty slick deal. They connect to the cats with a "Y", then split back into 2 flat exhaust chambers just in front of the rear axle. Then go forward and back to the tips. Harder to explain than to show. Will post/send pics later.

Stinger95
I'm not really a sidepipe person but they have such a clean look to them. They definitely compliment the look of the C4.
I'm the same way. Knew i wanted to upgrade the exhaust...and figured what the hell. I'd seen a couple C4s with these at shows and liked the way the panels blended....so why not?

TIMSPEED
BTW: Do you have your rear side turn indicators painted black? Looks like it (Cool if you do!)
:D Yea. I used a product called "Nightshade" from MAD for the rear carrage lights and 3rd brake light just to further "darken" the car. Already had blackouts front and back...and I thought the rear carrage lights looked "funny" with the rest of the car being blacked out. Careful though...it's not "legal" in all states...and it's tough to get off once it's on!

HOWSER
... the only drawback being clearance loss.
Ain't THAT the truth!!!!! MAJOR clearance "loss"...but such is the price we pay...eh? But i'll have to check into that exhaust cutout filler. Do you have any pics???

BARKING OWL
... you could always put a C5 rear end on him.
 Thanks....i'll pass on the C5 rear. I appreciate the offer for help though. Actually...there were only a couple "akward" places where a 3rd hand would have been usefull. It CAN be done solo!

And thanks again to everyone. Anyone interested in putting these on their car...there ARE a few little "tricks" i'd be willing to share with you individually...rather than bore everyone else.

Hmmmm....now i gotta sweet talk Kale a bit to see if he can "modify" my gif file!

Alchemist,

I have been meaning to snap some pics for a while, I've just been lazy about it. I'll see if I can't get some for you tonight. The rear fillers really do look good. You can't even tell (from a distance) that the cutouts were ever there IMO! Are you running cats? I am running mine through cutted cats, and boy does it sound good!!
