Windsheild Wiper Control Unit
The cover for the windsheild wiper control unit on my 87 has been damaged over the years. They want $100 for a new one. Is this a standard Chevy part I could find at the wreckers off a Chevy of the similar vintage?

Not sure what you have for wrecking yards in your area, but you should be able to find the same wiper motor set up on similar vintage GM's. When I had a problem with my 84 I bought the complete wiper motor from a yard in California for a reasonable price..
You might have to visit the yard to verify compatibility, you could also post in the Canadian forum to see if any one can help you.. IIRC 84-87 s/b the same..

What does it do or what does it NOT do? The C4 wiper motor/cover is a C4 only application but depending on what it does or doesn't do you can maybe swap the park switch etc from others.

Everything works, but half the cover is broken off exposing the electonics inside. I have it taped over and I don't drive the car in the rain, but I'd like to get it replaced if I can.
