Grandsons with Mustangs

Try not to drive the new ones guarantee they are a blast
Had a frame off 65...that was THE worst driving/handling/stopping car Ive ever driven period. first rate pile all the way around (pretty pile though)
Traded it for a K5 blazer

In all truth, I have a friend who is a family friend of sorts who has a 59, 94 Corvettes. I've worked on both quite a bit. The 59 is SO simple its stupid.
Truth be told, I like or at least appropriate ALL cars. Even the import crowd. Many of those cars are pretty neat/FAST. I REALLY like the Subaru BRZ/Scion FRS twins. Mostly sports cars for imports Asian/European alike.
Don't knock the new Mustang 5.0. Those things run like raped ape. WOW. They pull hard on the top end from 4-7K. I was impressed.

I can't wait to get my C5. More complex? Certainly not more of a pain in the *** than my L98 Can be at times

I prefer the newer ones myself, but I still love the old ones too.
Hell half my cars are almost as old as I am... 86 Z28... an 85 camaro (my age exactly.. was even built in April too
) 89 Corvette heh.My newest car was a 96 Firebird. (and I miss it still)
Truth be told, I maintain that car better than most anyone else. I go WAY above and beyond on things. I keep it clean, I hate dirty cars.
Running your Corvette like Duntov intended and beating it to death are TWO entirely different things.
I tell people what I do with the car and they think I'm lying. I have pictures to prove them wrong, video too.
One of them had many electrical problems with his and finally got rid of it. The other has had chronic transmission problems and is getting very unhappy.
I just completed my will. The Corvettes will be sold with the proceeds going to the estate.

I am your long lost grandson you didn't know you had but always wanted... I love Corvettes!! PM me about that will

I'm 18 also, and I'd love to have older Vettes! I've driven C5's and C6's, and I'd much rather have a C4 or older. There's just something about the older generations. I'd give up limbs to have a C1 or C2. Never driven one though, only a handful of C3's but I'd imagine they'd cruise along right nice. Truth be told, I maintain that car better than most anyone else. I got her back from the shop yesterday so I decided to take her up the mountains to make sure she's sorted.
She's still a hair down on power I think, but there's a couple of things it can be, before I go after those notorious to fail due to ethanol fueled 89 injectors. It's only slow on the initial hit, so I think it's a mass air, or pcv valve issue (getting the valve and a new line today)
From 30 to sixty it hauls *** leaving the shop I caught myself doing 60 in a 35, it's running that much better. (Swapped out the old 305 TPI intake manifold when I got the gasket job done. She's got an Edelbrock on her now. The intake was definitely one of her biggest issues... the factory one is so stained it's not even funny and it's not losing a lick of coolant now. First time in about 8 months where I -don't- hear coolant dripping onto the pipes after I get out of the car
)I also have a bad injector wire so I'm swapping and splicing that in from my 85 today assuming they have the same wiring and injector hookups.
Today I'm going to swap that injector pig tail, do the pcv valve, and I think I'm finally going to remove ''the Frisbee''
Beautiful day yesterday to drive though. Didn't get any pics cause the leaves aren't on the trees yet. But man it was nice getting the old L98's legs stretched and diving through switch back corners. They recommended 20 for the corners.. did em at 45 (entry. 40 mid point and exit loooots of decreasing radius corners up there) and didn't bark a tire

If you're babyin it you're doin it wrong!
