What he said
My passenger window used to hit the B pillar and this forum had the answer in a heart beat. I have a second gen C4 and it was a matter of ordering a $6 plastic piece and, taking off the door panel, and getting to know my car a little better. If that is the same problem you have, it is an easy fix.
Also, I have found that searching google and looking for the link that sends you to this forum is an easier way to find stuff on here.
See the image below from my shop manual, first check the window regulator is not worn. Partially lower the window and see if there is any movement in the regulator/window.
The guide circled is to limit the window upward movement and also how much the top of the glass tilts inward to the targa top seal.
Only a small amount of movement makes a big difference.
Good luck
It is the 84 thanks for reply my windows don't go all the way up tight yea found a few other things I needed with google search just bought the car has allot of little issues
I'm having a problem with my windows too. Ever since I got new weatherstripping, the windows don't go all the way up. They rub up against the weatherstripping. And the doors are hard to close unless the windows are down The windows go all the way up when the doors are open. I guess I need to tilt the windows outward. Which screw does that ??
