I wouldn't just use touch up paint on that. The rust will just come right back, even stronger. Clean that up with a fine steel brush as much as you can and then use a product called Por15 on it. That will stop the rust. After the Por15 is dry, you can either leave it as is (black) or you can then use any sort of paint on it you wish if you want to try to get it to look like it never happened. Hope this helps!

No problem, I hope it turns out a good clean fix in the end. I wouldn't be afraid to slather the Por15 on the area either, since there are seams there. Just remember to mask the area off and maybe put something under the area you plan to treat with it, to catch any run off.
