I am in the process of installing this modified LT1 intake on my L98. I painted it Chevy engine blue to match some of the other colors under my hood.
After the paint dried I used a palm sander. Started at a fine grit and then ended up with a very fine 2000 grit. You might have to strip things off to get to yours but it should work with a small block sander.

Interesting. Several years ago the Forum used to have a "Babes" section but it was pulled due to too many inappropriate posts.
One of the prolific posters in that section had a silver Corvette and would post a lot of pics of his wife with the car. She was a professional model. Your wife looks a lot like her.
I then saw her at Corvettes at Carlisle during the Miss Carlisle contest around 2005/2006. Thought they were the same
You gonna tell her about this?

Good luck finding the emblems. I just replaced both covers. GMPartsDirect has them on sale right now for around $33 each. I think they are dumping their stock so I would check it out soon or they may be gone.

I just repainted my emblems with white, black, and red spray paint. Scrape off all the old paint. Spray some of the spray paint in the cap and use a brush to put apply it. It will come out looking pretty good if you're careful. Probably a better way to do it but I just used whatever paint I already had laying around.
This is them now 2 years later. The gold on the word "Corvette" is coming off on the far side so I will have to redo that one. Funny cause the gold paint was actual engine block paint and all the other colors were just Walmart generic spray paint.
It seems the parts I ordered are for the LT1. Same cover but does not have the red lettering. I have the numbers for the red letter covers (LT4) but they do not come up as available. So you could buy the LT1 set and fill the lettering with red paint (or get those 3D raised letter kits).
Or look for someone selling the real LT4 covers but they will not be at the lower price for the LT1 set.
Here are the part numbers:
LT1
10208794 – Left cover
10208795 – Right cover

Sorry truggiero19, can't see your pic's. I tried to paint my old badges but they looked like cr^p.
Here I tried hosting the images on a different website. Can you see these?
Yes, I can see them now. Thanks.
So how did you get the little squares in the flag part to come out with nice edges? Did you tape and paint each one, one at a time?
The 96 badge is opposite of your color scheme with the white in the impressions. The red on the bowtie is also just red on the edge, not filled. It would take a steady hand or a lot if pains taking taping.
I painted the white and the black in the flag and around the bowtie. I filled the impressions with paint first because it wanted to stay there. One drop from the tip of the brush would fill an entire checkered spot. After the impressions were done the paint was bubbled up higher inside the impressions than the slightly lifted areas. This made the paint also want to stay in the lifted areas when I did them second. The bowtie I did the same way. I painted the black first to effectively build a barrier around where the red needed to be.
Was cleaning up engine bay and noticed this.

I wouldn't just use touch up paint on that. The rust will just come right back, even stronger. Clean that up with a fine steel brush as much as you can and then use a product called Por15 on it. That will stop the rust. After the Por15 is dry, you can either leave it as is (black) or you can then use any sort of paint on it you wish if you want to try to get it to look like it never happened. Hope this helps!
