Torch Red vs Bright Red Paint
Does anybody have the paint chips or can tell me how much difference there is between the Mid C4 Bright Red and the later Torch Red? Thought it may be the same with just a change of the name. Thanks

Definately different shades of red. I believe the Torch Red has a slight orange tint to it - it is brighter IMO than the Bright Red. The Bright Red is a deeper Red sort of like the Porsche Guards Red.
I have both reds and when my cars are next two each other there is mistaking the two as the same hue. [IMG]

There is definitely a difference between the two.
Bright Red is more like fire engine red.
Torch Red has a orange hue to it.

My '89 was painted "Bright Red" when I bought it. Since it needed some body work and repainting, I had it done "Torch Red". I love the new color. People may scare you by saying that there's an orange hue to it, but all you notice is that it's really a super-bright red.

I have the bright red Z in front, and a friends torch red is behind mine. Oh, there is a distinct difference, tho this is not the best photo to show it properly. But, 
with everyone so far that the torch red ... just POPS, especially in the sun!
