EST or ESC code 43

EST or ESC code 43
Hey Guys,
My 1991 6 speed L98 started showing the "Service Engine Soon" warning light last week. The warning comes on intermittently while driving. It may stay on for 3 or 4 minutes go off for a moment or two then return. The code scanner tells me it is code "43". From what I can gather EST circuit-low voltage detected, and or, ESC-circuit problems. Ok great what do I do now ? Any help would be appreciated.

Here's what it says in my book about code 43....
Code 43- Check ECM wiring. Replace knock sensor.
It seems you have a bad knock sensor, or bad wiring . It's very possible the connector is bad, these go bad from heat over the years....WW
