Exterior temperature sensor
Where is the exterior temperature sensor located on a 96 Vette convertible. Its 90 in Florida today and the digital gauge on my dashboard is telling me its only 50. I wish !!

On my '92 it was on the passenger side of the radiator and AC condenser air inlet. Pretty sure it's the same for '96. If you get down low and look under the front bumper where the air goes in for the radiator, there's a small square black plastic housing mounted on the passenger side of that air inlet. The sensor is inside that black plastic housing. I tried cleaning the sensor with a wet q-tip and sometimes that seemed to help, but I noticed the temperature tended to "stick" and not read properly.
