I can tell that some people on this board have zero experience with old cars and are just parroting others. I had a 1960 Cadillac that sat for 15 years in a garage. Tires, brakes, battery, water pump, and one exhaust piece were bad. The car was right as rain after that and I drove and enjoyed it for quite a while. That is just one of the many dormant cars my dad and I have resurrected. Every case is different. Look carefully and trust your own judgment. The offer is just right. And I personally love two-tone bronze C4s.
I bought a 79 z28 that at in a garage and had an emission sticker from 88. Said it had a bad trans and motor. Put 5 quarts in it and drove it for 3 years.best car I ever bought
When I was the Housing Manager at Aviano AB, Italy, I got a call from a landlady who said an American had abandoned a car in her garage 10 years earlier and she wanted it OUT! I took some of our car club people to see it and it was an 86 black on black Corvette. it had been covered in blankets for those years and when we pulled them off, the car was in remarkably great shape. We had to push it out of the garage to look at it and we put a jumper cable on it and let it charge for a while and the danged thing stared up. It was running rough, but idled. It had 63K miles on it. This was in 2005. I tried to tell the Italian that, having abandoned it for that many years, by the law it probably belonged to her and she had a legal right to sell it (to me)...lol. It had a Texas plate and I was able to trace it to the owner who finally responded and said to dump it. He said it had a lien on it and that it technically belonged to the bank. We actually found a payment book in the console and someone was going to contact the bank to make an offer on it. Unfortunately, I left Italy before the car club guys did anything with it and I never heard...just leaves you wondering.

You have to use a program like photobucket to upload pictures.
awesome!!! love the light bronze over dark bronze!! the car seems to be in nice shape overall and looks as though it will clean up well. the paint looks decent and the interior will look great once cleaned up! can't wait to see some pics of the car when you get it cleaned up! were you able to look at the RPO codes under the passenger side storage bin lid?
Wow your way more optimistic than I am. When I was looking and thinking about how much work is ahead it made me so tired I had to lay down and take a nap
I love seeing a car like that brought back to life and on the road again. Looking forward to seeing photos of it cleaned up because I know that will make a world of difference.
