Default Door Alignment

Anyone have a problem with paint wearing off at the corner of the bottom of the door frame? Is this simply a door alignment problem and if so how difficult is it to adjust a door?

I tried to pick up my sagging door. You are supposed to support the door with a jack or something like that and lossen the hinge bolts to pick it up. I never could undo the bolts, however. Good luck! :seeya

Is the door misaligned or can you grab the door while it's open, and pull up and down on it and it moves seperately from the car? If the latter is the case, then I can tell you the problem and be 70% sure when I say it (70% 'cause I have had the problem on OTHER cars, but never a C4). In the door there is a vertical pin that holds it in place. It's on both hinges. It's what they rotate on. Well after time the pin is worn away at the points that hinges rotate, and lets the entire door move up and down, but the door will sag when sitting still. It's pretty much the same as a door on a house. If you look there's that vertical pin going through the hinges. If it's not that, then the hinges need rebuilding or replacing on the car. If it is that, then you should have it properly replaced by a place that works on stuff like that, since it will more than likely require aligning latches and such to let the door shut full and more solidly.
