Default LT4 Question

Im just wondering what the story is with the LT4 badges on the backs of some 96s. Did they come stock with every manual 1996? Or was it an option? or do people just buy them after market to slap on? Personally i would rather keep it off to be more of a sleeper!

Buy them from MidAmerica, remove double backed tape, put on car.

No way of telling an LT1 from an LT4 while driving down the street, other than the LT4 will be in front. :jester

Yep, silly badges that people buy from Mid America or Elkcers, many places have them. :chevy

Mine had one on it when I bought it so I will probably leave it but I would not have put it on. I would rather keep them guessing. Like someone said, the average person has no idea what it means anyway! Guy

Most people I've come across confuse it for the LT5/ZR1. :chevy

I have had friends tell me that they never made an LT4 car, and they owned Vettes. There is an aura of awe that goes with these motors. :yesnod:
