1994 LT1 here, bypass done but air in system, I can't find the bleeder values any pictures out there? I'm not good on car mechanics please help. I don't understand what I'm looking at
On the top hose to the engine (about 1-1/2" diameter) on the passenger side of the engine there should be a brass fitting screwed into the thermostat housing with a brass screw or bolt in the fitting. This is the bleeder. Be sure have the engine hot and running. Place a rag under this being careful not get it close the the belt. Unscrew the bolt or screw a little until you get fluid coming our to the hole that is drilled into the bolt/screw. DO NOT TAKE THE BOLT/SCREW OUT, you only have to open it part way to get the air to bleed off. The rag is to catch the coolant so it does not get to the OPTI.
Thanks John!! Great instructions, I found it, did it, and ran my car for about 30 plus min, driving and sitting my car only got to 228 and just before I turn her off she dropped to 227.
For the first 20 min she never got past 201.
What's the running temp on this car?

Make sure you heat cycle the system at least three times. Top off the coolant up to the filler neck on the upper coolant tank, run to operating temp, then shut off and let the engine cool down. Repeat this two more times and then everything should be fine. I usually put my car on ramps so the front is a little higher and the air is easy to bleed out.
