hmm, the light on the dash says it is deactivated, but the brake light does occasionally come on during heavy acceleration. Am I correct in assuming that the only thing I need to do to disengage the ASR is to just press the button?
The brake light doesn't mean your brakes are activating, it means your car thinks it is out of brake fluid. Check the wire that goes on the master cylinder. Depending upon the year and which light, it could also be a problem with the Ebrake switch or wiring. To disengage the ASR, just push the button
