85-89 Bose question
I always have seen that the single pink wire in the radio is the antenna trigger. Seems when unplugged the antenna still works but there is no sound.
Can anyone explain?
The single connector plug with the Pink wire is for the Bose speaker amps. When you turn the radio on the Pink wire applies 12 volts to
the primary coil of the Bose Speaker Amp Relay. The relay closes and 12 volts goes to each speaker amp.
There is another Pink wire for the power antenna which is on one of
the plugs stacked on top of each other and plugs into the back of the
radio.
