86 power steering fluid pouring out of the bottom of my car..it's not the pump.it seems there's more leaking out sitting over night than I put in..I'm unable to get under the car due to back surgery..any clues to help me out before I take it in..thanks
What year is the car? Important question. Could be hose from or to the pump from the rack. If it a LT1 car, there is a rubber hose coupling between the pump and the fluid reservoir tube.
The main leak points are the end links, places where hoses connect and there is some kind of plug opposite where the steering shaft enters the rack (mine leaked there).
I also had a leak in the high pressure hose that goes from the pump to the rack. That one leaked at the pump end.
Can you give us an idea of about where it's leaking? Center, passenger side, driver's side?
It's an 86 with more problems than my X-wife.lol it's not leaking,it pours out.seams to be conning from drivers side under the ps pump itself ..the pump and lines from and to it are fine.but again I know the fluid can travel, and the only way to Turkey find out is to crawl under the Damn thing..sad part...I bought this car with the promise that nothing was wrong...shame on me...thanks
