1990 rear storage area help!
When I bought this car, I knew I was going to replace the carpet. So I ordered the complete kit for a 1990 convertible from stock interiors. When I got the kit, I noticed that the rear storage "T" piece was completely different than the one I pulled out. So I looked online and noticed that other 1990 kits looked similar to the one I received. But it just don't fit my car! Am I missing something in my rear cargo area? Pictures below are 1: what was under the carpet when I pulled it. 2: the old carpet (red) and the new one (black). Are the web sight catalogues wrong or am I missing something? Were there split years?

No the only thing I removed from the car was the carpet and that is what was underneath. I would love to see pictures of 1990 convertible and how it is supposed to look under there.

I have a 92 conv, guess my trunk looks the same as yours.
Actually i am planning to take out my rear carpet for cleanint it this weekend.
If you can wait a few days i can take some Pictures and post them here later this week.

SO they changed location of the rear speakers in 1990 when the dash changed to the wrap around and put them further back int he rear area at a 45ish deg angle..
in the 89 Earlier they had the speakers in the front of the rear area (where you find the storage compartments in a coupe) so it looks like you car has the earlier style rear speaker setup going off the carpet
