Default heater control problems.

my heater controls were getting old and had a hard time switching between selections . then completely quit working, cannot make any selections light up or show any sign of working at all. but do light up when headlights are on but still are non functioning.
replaced with tested (supposedly good one) from ebay and still no sign of working at all.
not sure where to look next, i am looking for any advice or known fixes.
please let me know if you have any advice.

Check power and ground at control head. Illumination with lights on different circuit. C60 manual or C68 automatic?

Check your "A/C" fuse. It supplies power to the control head when the ignition is on.

The "CTSY/CLK" fuse is also involved. It supplies power to the control head all the time to maintain the settings. It also supplies power to a lot of other things, so you'd probably know if it is blown.

I checked the FSM and found that the "A/C" fuse if for the compressor, so I was wrong on that.

Agent 86 rocks again.

Since my HVAC system is only partially working right now, I just happen to have the FSM open to the C68 section…

The GAGES fuse supplies power on a pink/black wire to pin C2 (ignition on).
The CTSY/CLK fuse supplies power on a pink/white wire to pin D4 (all the time).
The DEFOGGER circuit breaker supplies power on a black wire to pin C15 (all the time).
