I stopped planning the runs. There is time, and money into planning, a lot of people posting the usual "great", "I wish I could go", "I'll be there", and 2 Vettes would show. On the last run one of the two bitched about the route being too long. Nobody forces anyone to do the whole thing, if you are tired or bored go home.
It was fun while it lasted.
...and to the one asking, do a search before you ever ask me if I do my DIY.
Pete, I feel your pain!
I call it the ol 80/20 rule, whether its the PTA or Boy Scouts or the HS band booster club or a car club, it has been my experience that 80% of the work is done by 20% of the volunteers and 80% of the bitchin' comes from that 20% that does nothing. Yep... 20 say they'll be there and 2 show up? BTDT too!!
The way I get buy the frustration is to come up with an adventure me, myself, and I would like and let others know about it and not care if anyone shows up. A lot more fun (for me) I find.
Anywayz.... I've gone along on your trips vicariously and loved every one. Thanks for the "trips", Pete! Love your posts too!
Ok took some time to clear my head while doin so I did some more reading and have discovered that maybe I am retarded and apparently I had the wrong wire(EST) unplugged while timing the car to my understanding that would have pit my timing 12 degrees off right
I plan to reset the timing right today also I ordered the 85 fuel pump today I was think of adding an aftermarket fuel
Pressure gauge and regulator combo has anyone tried one of these yet and if I use the aftermarket fuel pressure regulator will I still need the one In the throttle body or can I remove it

Paul.
Thanks Paul, you are correct. I've done some great trips alone, and some with few Vettes. Some great experiences like driving thru a tornado not even a mile from me, many rain storms, and meeting few CF members along the way.
find your local Chevrolet dealer, make an appointment, drop the car off for diagnosis, decide if you want to pay the dealer to fix it or take the quote home with whats needed and fix it yourself. Sounds like you might want to do the latter. There were a number of times we would get a car in to just "diagnose" the problem for the customer. Service department didn't make any real money, but we got paid either way.
Ok guys so still haven't checked the fuel
Pressure but I ordered the new 85 pump
Anyways since it has the 84 went ahead And pulled the pump to find alot of rust and trash in the tank I've cleaned it and the old pump up and put it back together wow what a difference car runs so much better even with the old pump
Still seemed to die If I spin around or takes curve to hard so I put more gas in it and it runs fine noticed when I took the pump out the white bowl looking thing that's supposed to b in the tank is gone how can I fix this

Way to go buddy! You're good at following advice!
I have to wonder...why did you even bother posting a question on this forum?? It's obvious that you weren't going to listen to any advice anyway. AMF!

These cars can suffer fuel starvation when 1/4 tank or less...... causing exactly that problem.
