How would 35% Look On A Red 85?
Does Anyone Here Have tinted Windows On Their Vette?
How Often Do You Get Pulled Over For It?

I have tint on my '87 but I don't think it's as dark as 35%. WA state law limits tint percentages on the door windows and rear window to 35% and some LEO's may pull cars over just to check. Typically the law is used to just check on the local ricers.
The cops have a gauge they use to determine tint percentage. I just had tint installed on my truck and every shop I went to to get estimates refused to install tint that was darker than the legal limit.
So check your local laws and go from there.

I have a white 84 with legal tint. In Florida its the law that the installer put an identifying label in the drivers door jamb. The tint on my white 84 really sets the color off well. I have never been pulled over for it. Its usually the hood rats and ricers who get stopped.

I live in Florida and have I think 40% or 50% which is way over the legal limit. Thankfully my migraines actually came in handy for something. In florida you can send in a form and get pretty much any tint shade you want if you have a good reason like migraines and the doctor signs it.

I would check your laws before tinting, or ask who's going to do your tinting, cause there not going to break the law cause you want it darker, and loose there license and get big fine.

5% all the around. every state got different laws about it. i havent goten pulled yet in either of my cars. if you ever get pulled over make sure your windows are rolled down before a cop comes up to it. but 35% should be light enough to be fine

Mine is 30%, which is just dark enough on a red. Anything lighter doesn't seem to keep enough glare out.
I had 5% on the 86, and got pulled over for it. 5% is a bit difficult at night though.

I don't remember the %, but the hatch glass is darker than the side windows. I have the legal limits for Indiana.
