Dash cluster

I replaced a cluster with one I got eBay and it acts like a light show for about 10 secs and then disappears. The seller has been around and I emailed him I just haven't heard back yet.anyone ever have this happen.wondering if there's something else to look at before I ask for a replacement. Any thoughts are much appreciated. Thanks in advance

What were the original problems? Do you have both the old and the eBay cluster side by side?

On my 1993 I bought a new/rebuilt LCD as the original was unreadable. I also found 4 of the 5 bulbs were burnt out. I replaced the screen and 5 PC161 bulbs and all is good.

Thanks and sorry for so little info. 88 c4 - original problem just like Kirsten said,barely readable,replaced it with one from eBay 6 yrs ago and all was fine,simple enough ,plug play. This time half the display went out and the rest of it was no working. So replace again ,this time the cluster just starts flashing through its light display and stops. Original question really was"is there something else that I can try before I remove and send this back to seller". If so please chime in. Thanks
