Door lock Powl

could use some help here. I am replacing my door handles and it calls for a door lock powl which sits between the c-clip and the plastic power connector which all slides onto the door lock mechanism. What is its significance is it just a spacer because it was not on there when I took it apart and I would sure like to get this door back together. so far no one at the auto parts stores have been able to help me. I'm relying on all you pros out there on the forum

I decided to replace my faded handles while I had door apart to replace weatherstripping, important put handles back together before putting on weatherstripping and save yourselves a whole lot of grief.
