Guam
Long-time lurker, first-time poster.

Originally from the D/FW area, I've spent the last ten years between San Diego and Seattle, Washington, in military service. I received orders late last year to transfer to Guam this upcoming summer. I've been on the fence about sending the car across the Pacific Ocean to reside in Guam for two years.
Given that the speed limit on the island is "35 mph", there's a frog season
, and other general issues of having the car on a tiny island in the South Pacific concern me. Strangely, they do have a 1/4-mile dragstrip.
I welcome any thoughts and opinions of anyone that's been there or other tropical environments with their C4. My main concern is the salinity in the air and dealer/parts support. What did you do to stave off the elements? A garage/carport may or may not be available. In the internet-connected world, parts are parts, but with the obvious distance and isolation, running down to AutoZone might not be feasible. What would you do?
Thanks fellas, and happy motoring.

But Guam sounds like it does not have as much room to roam and a harsher environment. I think a trail bike might be more practical.

It's your Vette, and at least you will get to drive it, and maintain it. That is better than to put it on storage for 1-2 years.
I do know you will have shipping issues there. A lot of vendors DO NOT ship to Guam.
Guam is tiny, good luck.

First Thank You for your service, second leave the car at home.
