Build Sheet Hiding Place?
I removed the front suspension cross member from my 87 coupe today, and found a piece of paper stuffed in a hole that is normally covered up by the frame rail. It's very fragile and not in good condition, but it appears to be a copy of the build sheet for my car. Has anyone else discovered this in their car? It is only visible with the cross member removed.

Not personally, but it has been reported in that location before.
They have also been reported to be on the top of the fuel tank.

A few years ago when the 88 was mostly a frame, we removed the K member to sandblast and paint. When we took it off car, we saw a piece of paper that was a build sheet. It was in horrible condition (like tissue paper) and came out in pieces. Cool though....
Interesting though, we also pulled out a spent handgun cartridge from the K member. I have it somewhere, but interesting thing is ive never seen a firing pin indent that wasnt round.....There is NO WAY it got there on its own.
My build sheet was also on the gas tank as well. Same thing, it was in bad shape...

The "Build Sheet" has been reported to be everywhere in every model. So, you can chase your tail forever or - send a few bucks to the CV museum along with your VIN and they'll send you one, along with the original window sticker...!
