Default 89 frisbee

Thinking of reamoving it but I notice it has holes drilled into the edge of it like it is balanced, these holes are in the edges not in the plate.Anybody who has removed there notice these holes?

I just looked in my parts stash. The one I took off my 91 is pure and virginal. It has nothing cut or drilled out of it.

The Frisbee is not there to balance the water pump...

It's there to dampen the load when the AC is switched on.

I removed the Frisbee 10 years ago and can't feel any difference with or without it...It's supposed to free up about 10hp or so?...

Thx guys

Mine definitely has holes drilled into the edge about 3/4" deep , my engine is rebuilt to a 383 and no external balancer , I wonder if this is some kind of bubba balancer

When the frisbee is removed some guys said they could feel a jerk when the A/C compressor would come on..I removed mine and didn't feel any differece, but you won't know until you remove it.. A couple guys did say they put it back on, because they didn't like how the A/C operated ( or felt) without it..Once you remove it, you will have to use 3 small washers on each bolt to replace the thickness of the frisbee...Hope this helps.........WW

I made a necklace out of mine but the darn thing was terribly uncomfortable to wear. I actually saw a vendor on Ebay selling these and gave him a run down on the "frisbee". He thanked me and said he never sold any ! I never noticed any shake or vibration since removing it.
