While you folks above the Mason Dixon are still wrestling with snow, ice and cold weather, spring has sprung here in Florida. I spent a couple of hours yesterday detailing the '85 only to get up to find it again covered with yellow oak pollen. Now it looks Torch red instead of Bright red! Live Oaks are nice to look at.......in somebody else's yard! It is an ongoing struggle with the leaves getting into every nook and cranny and the joy of pollen season!
Dirty and pollen covered trucks are ok but the Vette??? I sit in my chair after washing the car just looking at it and saying what a good looking car the C4 is. Especially clean. Ive washed this car more times than all of my others put together I think. Including several dirty pollen covered trucks!
Well I got the T-bird out on Wednesday to get the radiator flushed and I took the Vette out yesterday for a short drive. Felt good! It was cool and the potholes where out in force, but still a good week.
The same thing happened to me. I washed both cars and went for a ride in the vette. I left it out for a while and when I came back out it was covered in pollen.
Ok guys , we get it, it's warm down there...... Up here, there calling for 1 to 3 inches of snow on Tuesday, so you know what you can do with your pollen.......WW
Must be getting close to summer, just saw deer out in the back yard..LOL

Actually some sadistic SOB sent me this in an e-mail, we don't have quite that much..
Black is a lot of work, pollen or no pollen. Maybe my first and last black car.
This pollen is hard is also hard on breathing and your lungs, so I guess we should check our air filters when this stuff lightens up as the engine is breathing this stuff also!

Reason: another thought
Got home from Daytona 5 hours ago. The truck and camper were all yellow when we left. The snow falling in Va. and WVa. got rid of it in short order though. The real agony is the 29 degree temps here at home after the 85 degrees down in Florida.
Typical Midwest spring here. Other day was 60 or so, washed the Vette (black). Woke up this morning to a dusting of snow. By afternoon the snow melted off, to find that the snow collected the pollen from the air and deposited it on the Vette. Oh well.
Pollen, heck if only we had pollen. This miserable winter just want go away. Looking for more white crap (snow) this week, I hate it. Give me pollen, we hopefully will get some in April, just rinse it off.

This was yesterday morning after another "dusting".
I do understand how pollen can get sometimes though. Our house sits on 1 acre that has large pine trees along it's border. For a couple week period, I hate to mow along the tree line because that pollen gets everywhere...
I definitely feel for you snow bound guys. I lived in upstate NY and Ohio so I have seen plenty. Plenty enough to know I need my azz to be in a warmer climate! I wish yall's winter would be over as well because N FL keeps getting the underside of your crappy weather. This has been a cold rainy winter. Generally winter is our dry season but not this year so get warmer and leave us alone!
