well i struck out yesterday at the Mecum Auction that I drive the cars across the stage. I tried to buy my wife an 1989 Malibu blue on Malibu blue vert with a white top.it went to the bid goes on at 8,000 i offered 9000 was turned down by the time i went back it sold for 10,250...... sure would have looked next to my 91 white over red coupe.

wow thats good money for an 89 at auction!!! I would have guessed a high of about what your bid was at 8k. Sure do notice when watching it that the late 70s cars that you about couldnt give away 5 years ago are starting to comand decent money.
