bought a rear hatch weatherstripping at Carlisle last week. went to install it today. and while trying to get the drivers side corner seated in the grove the corner split out. now I am no further then I was before
Did you press the corners in first; then the remainder of the WS??
Also, it should be done in the sun on a warm day.
It may be possible to use some black RTV intide and glue on the ends to "fix" it?? The WS I installed last year even had a black plastic "L" glued along the inside edge (inside the hatch area) to reenforce the joint.
