I bought a 1984 corvette, it had the original transmission replaced with a 2006 transmission and now the speedometer is off. The speedometer is not correct, need to know how to change it. Assume the first transmission was a 5 speed and now is a 6 speed.

Can anybody give me some suggestions--
Someone has done something to make it move so the first thing you need to do is determine how that was done. If it was done with a DRA it's a matter of just resetting the "dip-switches". If you're interested in help you need to mention what model transmission the 2006 is.
The first could not have been a five speed but that's likely not important presently.
Drive the car at 40, 50 , 60 and 70 mph by the car speedometer and record the actual speeds from a GPS> We're looking to establish a "percentage" of error.
