I use a product named "REJEX". It is an aircraft paint sealer/polish and I use it on everything, body paint, targa top, chrome wheels and glass. It is super slick and 'rejects' bugs, tar and bird poop. Bugs just wipe off the windshield without sticking. I put it on my wheels and after washing I can just dry wipe them and they don't water spot. One application lasts for months so you don't have to do it every time you wash. I even use this stuff on my glasses and they stay lint and dust free for days and rain just shakes off. Got mine at a local aircraft supply, paint store but it may be available other places.
Your wheels look great, I like the look. I never use any wheel cleaner. I only use the wash that I use on the whole car. The only other thing I do is as soon as I finish rinsing the whole car. I take a short drive around the block to spin dry the wheels a bit. Since I have chrome GS style wheels it just helps to keep the back inside of the wheels clean, then i just wipe them down with detail spray. I only polish them about 3 times a year, and I pull the wheels once a year for a total clean up and polish...
I use the poorboy wheel wax and I just use Meguire car wash with them. Every few times I might buff them up a little bit with some mag polish, but the wheel wax works great. First time I did them I put about three coats on and didn't have to touch the shine on the wheels all season.
Thanks for the replies. I washed & dried the car and the wheels look fine. Took 2 hours though. The inside of the wheels are polished and hard to get a towel into and I did some engine bay detailing.
MZee, the car has coil-overs and is a little lower than stock.
I knew it! Mine is the same colour only. It looks higher in the rear . I don't mind the front but the back looks jacked up!
Don't like that but people on this forum say long bolts in rear will remedy that issue.

As I understand it, the back is easy to lower. I put 17" wheels on my '85 and it looks high front and back. I wish it was only the back.
