Felpro-1074. I just about use felpro exclusively but never buy their 'complete' gasket set. There's always one or two gaskets that i like in another number than what they offer in the set so i buy individual. Summit racing, $106 for the set and free shipping, usually 2-3 days.

Go to the dealer and get the gm oem one.

This is what i run on my stock bottom end 510 rwhp , 13psi boost supercharged lt1. Just for kicks i did a compression check the other night and all cyldiners are good, 2 yrs later.

If this testimonial doesnt convince you then i dont know what will

Also that head gasket is more forgiving vs. say...a cometic in terms of deck prep.

Some of the felpro ones (their high end ones with the blue lines) have had stuff off center or poor qc.

I specifically had some issues with felpro blue lined lt1 intake gaskets. Their cheaper line fit fine.

Get the teflon coated Fel Pro gaskets, they last several times longer than non teflon gaskets. The expansion and contraction between the heads and the block shears conventional gaskets, but the teflon gaskets allow the head to slide during heating and cooling and don't shear.

Just a thought, but if you wanted to bump up compression a bit, you could go with a thinner gasket. I currently use the 1074, but before my rebuild I was using something more similar to the Impala SS head gasket. Gm part number 12553160. Thickness is around .029. Should bump up compression to around 11:1, and it's designed by Chevy to work

Victor Reinze 5898 head gaskets. 0.026in thick for boosted compression. Raises a stock LT1 to 11.1:1 compression ratio.

Yes! That's the one I had prior to my rebuild. It's a good gasket. With the new 383, compression is at 11.8:1 with a standard gasket
