Default Quick Wheel Question

Hi Y'all. I'm new to the Corvette thing, and doing my best to learn as much as possible. I've found some wheels that I really like that are for a C5, and I'm wondering if they will fit on my 1994 C4 Standard Coupe without modification.

Thanks!

The dimensions he mentions aren't correct for most C5's - either base cars or Z06 so what I would do if these are close. Go look at them and get all of the casting information from the back-side of the wheel and then post back with the information. Without knowing that anything that anyone posts is simply a WAG.

They will fit but it's going to be the question of what spacer/adapter is going to be needed to get a good "fitment". A positive for you is the car is a '94 and if there were speedometer calibrations required they're very straight forward.

They will fit but if anyone starts mentioning the spacer/adapter needed it's only speculation.

Check those wheels for cracks/fractures, best I recall where the spoke meets the barrel.

Those wheels could be OE/GM or maybe replicas so you need to look at them first and get the information.

Are they close to you? If you go look you might just as well get the tire information. Size etc. You might want to check the tire date code on the tires. If they're very old it would seem to likely diminish value and offer you some leverage maybe for price.

Tire Rack's date code information could be useful or you can "Google" for more and maybe better information.

Thanks! Yeah, they're within 20 minutes of me. I'll try to get some answers via email from the guy. Hopefully he's honest.

Go get the snapshots and take a look. If there's no "curb-rash" and they're not beat the ask looks reasonable maybe. If OE/GM more so. I'd edit the link out of your post and I've removed it from my response.

They look like the factory 2001-2004 polished thinspokes. If they are OEM and have good tires, that is a good price. The sizes and offsets for the OEM wheels are shown below. There have been a few that have reported cracks. The cracks I have seen pictures of are where the spoke meets the rim (right in the corner). I have 3 sets of those wheels and none are cracked. For the thousands of them that were sold, it is probably not too common to be cracked, but it can happen.

88-96 base
17"x 8.5"- 56mm
17"x 9.5"- 56mm

C5 base
17"x 8.5"- 56mm
18"x 9.5"- 65mm

If they are the factory wheels, they will fit OK, but the rears will be a little inboard. A 9 mm spacer or adapter would put them to the stock location. The picture below shows another base C5 wheel with the same sizes and offsets on my '94. No spacer/adapter was used.

They worked ok, but the rears are taller and I noticed that it felt like the car had too much rake. With different rear tire sizes, that could be solved.
