Default Problem with power seat track

I removed my 93 standard driver seat to change the carptet and noticed the seat rails aren't at the same positions. It looks like the seat is actually moving back and forth in a crooked fashion. Is this normal? Shouldn't both sides be at the same height and front to back position? It always seems as if the motors are laboring to change position whenever I move the seat.

Is there a simple fix to get both rails synched up?

Thanks,

Arman

If it makes a loud buzzing noise while the tracks remain stationary - the powered gearing is stripped - a very common issue with 20+ year old plastic gears.
