Intermitent Display
I have a 95 that has an intermittent speedo display problem. I did a search and found many threads but it seems most deal with contrast. My problem is when I first put the key in the ignition and turn it to on. The display is fine. After I start it the backlight is dim. It does not happen every time. Sometimes if it is dim it will go back to bright and back to dim. Obviously if it is bright sometimes it is not a back light problem. Any ideas.

Starting to have the same problem with my 85 and it's hard to drive at night with the phone flashlight shining on the dash so I can see how fast I'm going. Any help from others would be greatly appreciated.

Had a similar sounding issue - was the wiring harness losing continuity behind the instrument cluster (the female half that interfaces with the cluster).
