After I make all those disparaging remarks about the locals around here not able to be bothered to wave at a a fellow Corvette owner, I have three in a row, not a mile apart between the three, actually go out of their way to wave as I was tooling down the boulevard in the opposite direction just north of town this afternoon.
There was a C3, a C4 and if that don't beat all, a C5 owner waved as well. Looks like I'm gonna have to eat some more crow here over this turn of events.
I avg about 75% on waves. Have to admit to missing a few myself not out of being stuck up but rather, having my eyes on other traffic and by time notice the other Corvette it's too late.
I've also noticed that women 'Vette drivers around here will only return a wave (if they wave), if I don't wave 1st they won't...
Maybe before, I was just catchin' all those other 'vette drivers at a bad time. Like I said, I'm already acquiring a taste for "crow", I've had to eat so much of it lately.
So, I'm back to to waving.....that way no one can accuse me of being the "party pooper" around town.
Sure do like that Corvette of mine though. I'm in it, driving around every chance I get, it seems. When does the "novelty" begin to wear off, anyway? At this rate, I'll put 15k miles on it, before the summer's out.

It doesn't.

Heh, heh, heh. I was afraid you'd say something like that. ;)
You know you really have a problem when you go for bread, milk and ice cream and it is three separate trips.

hahhahaha ...I thought I was the only one who did that...except I do it on different days...lol I get my milk on Monday, bread on tuesday, and cereal on wed....hahaha
Took long way to pickup milk tonight. Told wife, who was with me, that it was a matter of treating the engine right-- have to drive enough to boil out the moisture from the crankcase, can't put the steed up 'wet' after riding... :D

I hate it when that happens! The other thing is sometimes with one of those solid center dividers it's hard to tell until it's too late that it's a corvette!

I wave first. Sometimes I get these really wierd waves back if the guy is traveling in the same direction as me. I actually honked at at C5 one day after we leapfrogged about 3 times traveling the same direction in heavy rush hour traffic. I waved and he was totally clueless. After the honk he was still totally clueless, but at least I got a return wave. :D :jester The new Corvette Owners are slowly catching on. :D
There are two red C5's that go the opposite way twice a day on my daily commute. One of them is cool and the other one is a stuck-up non-waver. The problem is, I don't know whether or not to wave when I see the first one cuz I don't know which one it is... :p:
