I was at an upholstery shop yesterday. I have a 1985 Corvette in pretty good condition. The driver seat is beginning to wear a bit more than the passenger. The guy told me how easy it is to switch the seat bottom and seat back. They are inter changeable. Now I have a brand new drivers seat it feels like. Just thought I would share.

How did the shop get the seat back cushion to attach to the hooks/clips that are bonded to the seat back shell? One of mine is off and can not get the bar in the cushion to engage and hook into the clip on the seat back.
I have to say that I am lucky in the fact that the PO of my verte took good care of my car. He was a fanatic in as much if something went wrong he had it fixed immediately. As far as the interior, the leather is still vibrant and shiny. The car had 99k on it when I got it and I have put on about 2500k and the only thing I had to replace was the water pump.

P.S. I hope I didn't hi-jack someones thread. Forgive me if I did!!!

You can buy a tool to do this or grind a notch in the end of a flat blade screwdriver...
I have the proper tool it came with a cheap set of screwdrivers. I didn't know what it was for about 5 years until I looked up c4 seat cushion. removal and there it was.
